Eleven grant recipients will develop projects under the Ministry of Health Research and Innovation Centre.
The Department of Health in Abu Dhabi (DoH), in partnership with the Ma’an Social Contribution Authority, has allocated more than $5.2 million (Dh19 million) through the Healthcare Research and Innovation Fund.
Eleven funders will develop projects under the Ministry of Health Research and Innovation Center targeting cancer research, technological advancement and improved chronic disease management.
Solutions provided include virtual reality for breast cancer survivors, advancements in pediatric metabolic health, precision medicine applications, and treatments for genetic eye diseases.
The funding is designed to advance research into cell and gene therapies, precision medicine and advanced cancer treatments.
